MISSION

The Berkman Center for Internet & Society is sending a team of fellows and staff to Accra, Ghana in March 2002.

The mission of the trip is threefold:

  • To observe and participate in the ICANN meeting on a variety of issues of interest to the Berkman Center community.
  • To further the work of the Berkman Center's Open Economies project, which aims "to support developing nations as they embrace digital technology and digitally-enabled entrepreneurship as a means to economic and social development."
  • To chronicle the global Internet "culture trying to happen" by producing, gathering, and presenting multimedia content, particular in Internet and terrestrial radio.

This site will serve as a portal to the research reports and multimedia content gathered on the trip, much of which will be posted as it comes in from our colleagues in Ghana.
