Counter-speech as Content Moderation with Kesa White

Kesa White joins Elizabeth Dubois to discuss her work on "dog whistling," and argues that, while counter speech can be helpful in limited situations, it does not fix the issue of hate speech online. 

"Humor is really one of those big things that is used in a lot of these communities to kind of tow the line between being flagged fo moderation, but then also being able to convey their message across to their followers or their echo chambers, whoever it may be."
