Kesa White

Kesa White is an analyst at TikTok USDS. Prior to working in the tech field, Ms.White worked at the Polarization and Extremism Research and Innovation Lab (PERIL). Kesa’s research primarily focuses on violent far-right extremism, hate, and content moderation. Ms. White got into the field after being the victim of a hate crime in 2017 while she was an undergraduate at American University with Taylor Dumpson. Kesa received her B.A. degree in International Studies with a concentration in Foreign Policy and National Security and M.S. degree in Terrorism and Homeland Security from American University. 

Ms. White has been the featured and written for of numerous media outlets, including Washington Post, Vice News, Global Network on Extremism and Technology, USAToday, OpenDemocracy, Rantt Media, NPR, and Huffington Post. 

In her spare time, Ms. White enjoys spending time with her dog Fendi, traveling, and falling down Wikipedia rabbit holes.
